Baghdad Journal of Biochemistry and Applied Biological Sciences (BJ-BABS) is an English language, peer-reviewed scholarly publication in the area of biomedical sciences and published by the College of Medicine, Al-Nahrain University and edited by a group of eminent researchers. BJ-BABS publishes original papers, reviews and short communications on, but not limited to:

  • Biochemistry (medical, clinical, analytical)
  • Biotechnology (medical)
  • Complementary and alternative medicine
  • Endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism
  • Microbiology
  • Molecular and cell biology

BJ-BABS welcomes the submission of manuscripts that meet the general criteria of significance and scientific excellence. Papers will be published approximately 7 days after acceptance.

BJ-BABS is using the Open Journal System for online manuscript submission, review, and status tracking. Editorial board members of the journal or outside experts review manuscripts; at least two independent reviewers approval followed by the editor is required for the acceptance and publication of any citable manuscript.

A manuscript number will be e-mailed to the corresponding author within 72 hours.
